Privacy policy

The short version: Stockifykeeps the minimum it needs to run your account, doesn't sell or share it for advertising, has no ad trackers, and lets you delete everything from Settings.

Who runs Stockify

Stockify(psxtrades.com) is a free, personal, non-commercial project run by an individual developer. It is not a company and is not affiliated with Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean the person operating Stockify.

What we collect

When you sign in with Google

  • Your name, email address and profile picture, as provided by Google Sign-In.
  • We never see or store your Google password, and we do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or other Google data.

When you use the app

  • Your watchlist and in-app preferences.
  • A record of your acceptance of the Terms of use: which version you accepted and when. This is kept for as long as your account exists.
  • Activity and usage records needed to run the service: for example sign-ins, watchlist changes, when you were last active, the IP address and browser recorded with each of those events, server error logs, and how many AI requests you have used against the daily allowance. These help us keep the service working, secure it against abuse and enforce fair-use limits.
  • If you turn on push notifications, the push subscription your browser gives us (an endpoint URL and keys), so we can deliver notifications to that device.
  • If you add your own Anthropic or Deepseek API key, that key, stored encrypted. It is used only to send the AI requests you make to that provider.

When you send feedback

  • The email address and message you enter, plus technical details recorded with the submission (IP address, browser user agent and referring page) to help filter spam. We use your email only to reply.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell, rent or trade your personal data.
  • We don't show ads and don't use advertising or cross-site tracking.
  • We don't use your data to build marketing profiles.
  • We don't ask for or store brokerage credentials or payment details.

Cookies and local storage

Stockifykeeps your session token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. Google may set its own cookies during sign-in, governed by Google's privacy policy. We don't use advertising cookies.

Services that process data for us

To run Stockify we rely on a small number of third-party services, which process data only as needed to provide their part of the service:

  • Google, for sign-in.
  • Cloud hosting and database providers, which host the website, API and database.
  • AI providers (Anthropic, Deepseek), only when an AI feature is used. Requests contain what the feature needs, such as a stock symbol and its signal or indicator data. Requests made with your own key are also subject to that provider's terms and privacy policy.
  • Your browser's push service (for example Google, Mozilla or Apple), only if you enable notifications.

Market data is fetched from PSX's public data portal. No personal data is sent there.

How long we keep data

Account data is kept while your account exists. Activity records are deleted automatically after 180 days, server logs after 30 days, and AI usage records after about 13 months. Feedback messages are kept until they have been dealt with or are no longer needed.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the dashboard. This removes your profile, watchlist, push subscriptions, any API keys you stored, and your activity and AI usage records. Shared, non-personal records such as the global signal history and paper-trade ledger are not tied to your account and remain. Server log lines that mention your email (for example a sign-in) are not deleted individually; they age out within 30 days.

You can also remove a stored API key or turn off notifications without deleting your account, and you can revoke Stockify's access from your Google Account permissions page.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and API keys you add are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong Google account password and consider restricting or setting spending limits on any API key you add.

Your choices

You can ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Most of this you can do yourself in Settings; for anything else, use the feedback form.

Children

Stockify is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will change.
